When she first moved to LA, Kay fell for a scam internship. She was promised an opportunity to shadow a writer, but instead cold-called medical clinics in Florida. After remembering medical sales wasn’t for her, she went on to work the night shift at a background casting agency. Kay has worked in script research, script clearance, copywriting, and in retail. She currently works at Lionsgate as an assistant in the TV production department.  

In her writing, she wants you to laugh when you least expect it, and when it’s all said and done - say to yourself, “what the fuck was that…. let me watch it again”.

She recently wrote, produced, and acted in a short film titled “First Aid and Abet”. A titillating tale about a girl’s mundane park venture that becomes the most exciting day of her life.
